Headquarters

Overview

The Project TriStar headquarters is a sustainable community, however, as a headquarters for the ongoing development and construction planning, this facility is not a completely off-the-grid and self-sustainable environment.

The Project TriStar headquarters is a necessary step in the coordination of efforts to define and document the details for developing communities based on the Project TriStar model.  Participation in this community is intended for those members who are ready, willing, and able to devote their time and energy to the Project TriStar Vision and Mission.  As such, participation at this facility is reserved for those members who have expressed the interest and have the necessary skills for committee level activities.

This is a location where committee members live, work, and grow together in a communal and sustainable environment while creating the necessary documents and plans for both the Project TriStar community model and Global Initiative.  As part of our multimedia campaign, all activities within this community are being video taped for use in promotional media, a general introduction to the concept of sustainable communities, and as a pilot for a Reality TV show based on sustainable living.

On-The-Grid

In order to support the ongoing research, coordination, and development of the Project TriStar 100% off-the-grid and self-sustainable model, this headquarters maintains access to technological conveniences as necessary.  This includes the use of grid electricity, internet access, and other modern conveniences that provide access to the resources and tools to support planning and development operations.

Grid access is also necessary for the coordination and management of multimedia activities including: contact with our global membership, maintenance of websites and video portals, receipt and processing of membership applications, discussions and interviews with other media networks, and video conferencing.

Membership

The Project TriStar headquarters is designed as a temporary location where community members can participate in the ongoing efforts of the Project TriStar Vision and Mission.  As such, member participation may be limited by available space, resources, and practicality.

As the headquarters for Project TriStar operations, membership is reserved for those who are ready to make the commitment to committee level participation.  The committee members are those who are ready, willing, and able to devote their time and energy to the Project TriStar Vision and Mission.  In addition to a desire to be part of the Project TriStar development and management team, these members must possess skills and expertise that relate to the activities of the Committee List.

Besides the basic life and lifestyle principals, applicants to the Project TriStar headquarters community are also evaluated on their ability to function as part of the management team and as a committee member.  This evaluation includes technical skill assessment, management responsibility, and interpersonal communication.

Candidates must be prepared to devote their time to Project TriStar as they would any other job.  In other words, being part of the Project TriStar headquarters community is a full-time commitment involving daily activities and responsibilities, as well as free time and space for personal and community activities.

Members are not required to participate financially as every basic necessity is provided by the community.  Members will have no need to retain or maintain work or an income outside the community and members do not receive any financial compensation for their work or commitment to the community activities.  Each member understands that this is a voluntary and at will opportunity.

Video Documentary

The practice of sustainability and especially as it relates to the creation of conscious sustainable communities is still in its relative infancy.  In an effort to increase global and mainstream awareness, Project TriStar has taken on the task to video document all activities of the headquarters community.

The proposed uses for this video footage include the following applications:

  • Video archive of Project TriStar
  • Documentary on the process of creating sustainability
  • Live streaming to the internet
  • Creation of promotional and introductory videos
  • Education for personal interaction and problem resolution
  • The pilot for a Reality TV Show based on sustainability

This may include the use of stationary cameras positioned throughout the facility and the use of handheld cameras to record specific incidents and activities of the committee members.  It also includes an onsite multimedia staff that is responsible for filming, editing, and uploading video footage to the internet and other media portals.  Depending on schedules and resources, some community members may be asked to operate a video camera from time-to-time as needed.

Those interested in applying and participating in the Project TriStar headquarters community in Utah must sign a waiver for their participation in the video documentary.

Diet

Besides the business activities, the Project TriStar headquarters operates as a model for community and sustainable lifestyle.  As founding members of Project TriStar, those who participate at this committee level do not have the luxury of going through the proposed Member Orientation Program.

Project TriStar is aware that some members may still be working on health and dietary challenges that preclude an all raw vegan diet.  As such, it’s expected that some members may still be working on their individual preparations to become more sustainable and ultimately self-sustainable.  In order to accommodate all members through their personal and mutual sustainability challenges, the Project TriStar headquarters maintains a more liberal dietary regiment.

Although the eventual goal is to achieve and maintain an exclusive raw vegan diet, this goal can only be achieved by creating a dietary plan that results in providing adequate nutrition for every community member.  One of the most important factors in such a diet is to provide adequate enzymes and protein to support optimal health.  This includes taking into account that some individuals may have dietary sensitivities that include the inability to eat nuts or other known sources of protein in the raw vegan diet.

While the committee members work out the details of a raw vegan menu and diet that accommodates every member, the community maintains access to some animal products as a source of protein.  The initial consideration is to maintain chickens for a source of meat and eggs.  The intent is to maintain a diet that is primarily raw vegan until a diet consisting entirely of raw vegan has been established.

Activities

The Project TriStar headquarters is operated as a business and a community.  Activities of the business include everything necessary to transform the Project TriStar community model from a visionary idea to a well documented plan that can be developed and constructed.  Activities of the community follow as close as possible to the Project TriStar Lifestyle Model.  This includes functioning as a conscious sustainable community in all activities.

Just as there are work assignments and responsibilities for the business and community activities, time is also set aside for daily spiritual activities, education, exercise, and introspection.  In essence, the activities of the Project TriStar headquarters provide the foundation for further developing the Project TriStar Lifestyle Model and Member Orientation Program.

This means that, as a conscious sustainable community, the Project TriStar headquarters embodies the core principals of the community model with the intent of further documenting and working through the rough edges to create a truly functional plan.  Of course, the primary and life sustaining activities related to food production are being addressed first.

To understand the goals of the Project TriStar headquarters, here is a list of areas and activities of the community model to be further researched and documented.
